1995 the year of the Peace and Freedom theme was also the year of the first Bosnian Europa stamp... what a symbol for a country who suffered so much of the war. Bosnia was not the last republic of former Yugoslavia to issue a Europa stamp, Macedonia followed one year after it. Bosnia is still a country where all problems are not solved and you can see it in the fact that they are still 3 postal administrations. One in Sarajevo and 2 others: a Croat one in Mostar and a Serbian one in Pale. Those 3 administrations are issuing Europa stamps but only the Bosnian post having his seat in Sarajevo is considered as the official one as they are the only postal administration to be officially recognized by the Universal Postal Union and PostEurop.
