The Netherlands are one of the 6 founding members of the Europa-Stamps collection with the 2 other Benelux countries: Belgium and Luxembourg and with the other 3 European countries, France, Italy and Germany. They stopped issuing Europa Stamps from 1993 to 2001. The reason was that the Dutch post wanted to keep space in their issuing program for other stamp subjects !?
