Norway as their other Scandinavian neighbors, Denmark and Sweden,
issued their first Europa stamp in 1960. But the difference with them,
they kept issuing Europa stamps after 1962 till 1967. In 1969 they
issued a stamp for the 10 years of the CEPT.

In the seventies they started again with the Europa stamps but only till 1992!

Norway was the first country of Western Europe who decide to stop to issue Europa stamps in 1992, they were followed the year after by the
Netherlands.

Both countries decided to start again in 2002 with the "circus".

The Norwegian post explained that from now on they will issue Europa stamps only if the theme matches with their own stamp issue program.
